Have you ever heard of computerized mannequins, if not, here it comes. Actually, the University of Portsmouth has opened a UKP4.85 million high-tech teaching facility centre that possess computerized mannequins and special thing about these mannequins is that their body function like that of humans, which makes them suitable for medical researches. These life-like mannequins have computerized sensors that react to any treatment that students carry on. Telling more about that it, the ExPERT Centre’s director Professor Lesley Reynolds avers:

You can hear their heartbeat and the sounds from their lungs and bowel.... they breathe oxygen, drool, secrete fluids, blink, bleed and even react to drugs injected into their bodies - they are as real as can be.

These are really wonderful mannequins that would definitely help medical students in understanding different medical procedures and that too without endangering patient’s life.
