Intensity modulated radiation therapy (IMRT) has been found very beneficial for cancer patients. Researchers found that the 89 percent of the prostrate cancer patients who were treated with intensity modulated radiation therapy had fully recovered and none of those patients developed secondary cancer due to this radiation treatment.
Actually, intensity modulated radiation therapy (IMRT) is the improved form of 3DCRT, which many focuses beam of radiation at the tumor and do not effect the adjoining areas. Due to this reason, IMRT does not result in bad radiation consequences.
I firmly believe that Intensity modulated radiation therapy has come out as a great hope for the patients of prostrate cancer.
