Security is major factor in coporate sector but if it comes in IT, health it becomes more important. The Toronto-based medical information services firm, MedicAlert is producing a customized, wearable bracelets and necklaces. It is used in medical emergency department. When there is an emergency, doctor’s check the patient bracelet, and then by calling a toll-free number that have all medical information’s about patient. MedicAlert has more than 4 million members worldwide and is available in 140 languages.
The company is pairing up with Stonesoft, the security vendor to install firewall and intrusion detection software. The system works on two separate Internet connections.
The customers can use their files ant time and even they can download the data to their mobile phone. Now, more than 40 percent of the company’s online traffic happens after business hours.
The customers can edit their patient’s records and spend more time in viewing patients’ records to ensure there are no errors.
