Radiotherapy likely to treat HIV/AIDS patients!

Radiotherapy is being used for a long time to save people from several types of cancer and now very soon this new therapy may be used for treating patients with HIV infection. Scientists have come up with this belief because they have conducted some radiotherapy tests on HIV-infected mice and found that radiotherapy was effective in eliminating HIV-infected cells, without harming healthy cells. However, researchers believe that still further radiotherapy trials on animals are necessary to get deeper into the whole concept, which will help them analyze whether radiotherapy will be safe for HIV patients or not.
